How can I use the student discount?

The student discount applies only to Second Class train tickets and allows eligible students to purchase tickets at 50% off the regular price.

To receive the discount, you must enter the correct Personal ID Number associated with your active student status when purchasing your ticket. Once this information is entered, the system will automatically verify your eligibility and recalculate the ticket price on the payment page, applying the 50% discount.

If you have entered the correct Personal ID Number and the discount is still not applied, you should visit a Public Service Hall to update your student card/chip information. After the update, it may take up to 7 days before the student discount becomes available and you can purchase tickets at the reduced price.
